What Is Botox?

Botox is a neuromodulator that relaxes overactive facial muscles to reduce the appearance of dynamic wrinkles, such as crow’s feet, forehead lines, and frown lines. 

Popular Botox treatment areas:

  • Forehead lines

  • Glabella (between the brows)

  • Crow’s feet

  • Bunny lines

  • Lip flip

  • Jawline slimming ​

The Treatment Process

Treatments take 15–30 minutes, with minimal discomfort. Results are noticeable after a few days, lasting for 3 to 4 months. Most patient's typically require one treatment to see results, however treatment plans may vary. 

Potential Side Effects

Side effects typically last a day or two

  • Pain, Swelling, or bruising at injection site

  • Numbness in adjacent muscles

  • Headache or Nausea

  • Urinary Retention

Botox is not recommended for individuals with neuromuscular disorders or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Please consult with your healthcare provider about your medical history to determine if treatment is right for you.

What Are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are smooth, injectable gels typically hyaluronic acid based—a substance naturally found in your skin, that helps retain moisture and plumpness. 

  • Common filler areas include:

  • Cheeks

  • Lips

  • Smile lines 

  • Chin and jawline contouring

  • Under-eye hollowing

The Treatment Process

Treatments take 20–45 minutes, with brief and minimal discomfort. Results are immediate, lasting for 12 to 18 months, depending on the product and area treated. Most patient's typically require one treatment for results, however treatment plans may vary.

Potential Side Effects

Side effects are temporary

  • Pain, Swelling, Itching, or bruising at injection site

  • Numbness

  • Discoloration

  • Cold Sores

Botox is not recommended for individuals with Autoimmune conditions,
